Available virtually in Rhode Island, I am a licensed mental health counselor and life coach who draws on a variety of holistic tools to support you, including 20 years of experience in trauma counseling, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). One of my specialties is eating disorders, and I love helping clients build healthy relationships to food, nutrition, your body, and yourself.

Though having lived as a fat woman recovering from anxiety, disordered eating, body image struggles, and grief and loss, my experience extends to helping those with anxiety and depression, perfectionism and control issues, social isolation, and those with underlying trauma who need to process difficult emotions associated with past experiences.

I am trained in Internal Family Systems (ISF), a form of psychotherapy based on the premise that individuals have multiple sub-personalities within themselves, as well as Health at Every Size® (HAES®), an approach to health and wellness that emphasizes body acceptance, as well as Body Trust®, and Intuitive Eating.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island as well as a master’s degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island. I also earned a master’s degree in agency counseling and a CAGS certificate in  mental health counseling, both from Rhode Island College.
